The teaser of 'Aakasamlo Oka Tara' introduces Kalpana, a village girl aspiring to be an astronaut, supported by Dulquer Salmaan's Krishna. Directed by Pavan Sadineni, the film explores themes of ambition and sacrifice, with Shruti Haasan in a supporting role. The Telugu drama is set for a theatrical release on November 20.
The makers of Aakasamlo Oka Tara released the film's teaser on October 17, ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on November 20. The Telugu drama stars Dulquer Salmaan and introduces debutant Satvika Veeravalli in the lead role, with Shruti Haasan in a supporting part. The film is directed by Pavan Sadineni, with story and screenplay by Gunnam Gangaraju.
The teaser centres on Kalpana, Satvika Veeravalli's character, a young woman from a rural village who aspires to become an astronaut despite the expectations of those around her. Dulquer Salmaan plays Krishna, a man who recognises her potential and supports her pursuit. Kalpana's family eventually decide to get her married to Krishna, in an attempt to stifle her ambition.
The teaser establishes the film's register as a drama about ambition, sacrifice and personal determination, with Salmaan's character a supporting presence to Veeravalli's character's journey rather than the central protagonist. Shruti Haasan appears briefly toward the end of the teaser, though her character's role is yet to be disclosed.
The film's technical team includes composer GV Prakash Kumar, who shared the film's teaser writing, "A beautiful classic cinema is on its way …… all cinema lovers get ready for this."
Cinematography is by Sujith Sarang, with editing by K.L. Praveen. Aakasamlo Oka Tara is jointly produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Ramya Gunnam under the banners Geetha Arts, Swapna Cinemas and Lightbox Media.
The film marks Dulquer Salmaan's return to Telugu films in a leading role since Lucky Baskhar (2024) Sita Ramam (2022) and Mahanati (2018). Salmaan's latest release, I'm Game, a Malayalam language action crime thriller, opened in theatres on September 3, 2026.
