Ajith Kumar and Adhik Ravichandran reunite for their second collaboration, Daredevil, which began filming on November 2. The project, Ajith's 64th film, kicked off with a pooja ceremony, and exclusive stills have surfaced online. Produced by Shalini under Bravehearts Production, the film features a stellar technical team and marks Ajith's return to cinema after a racing hiatus.
Having collaborated on Good Bad Ugly (2025), Tamil actor Ajith Kumar and director Adhik Ravichandran are reuniting for their second consecutive film, Daredevil. The film went on floors on November 2, with the makers marking the occasion with a pooja ceremony attended by the cast and crew. Exclusive stills from the event have since been shared on social media. The project marks Ajith's 64th film and was previously referred to as AK64 before its title was announced.
The production house had announced the shoot date on social media ahead of the schedule. Earlier, the makers had also released the first-look poster, which showed Ajith in a white suit and wine-red sunglasses, while the title design used a dice motif to hint at chance and unpredictability.
Shalini, Ajith’s wife and a former actor, is producing the film under Bravehearts Production, a newly launched banner. Ravichandran described the project as a special one in an earlier post on X, marking 34 years of the actor’s career.
In November last year, while pre-production and location scouting were under way, the director had spoken about the weight of responsibility that came with being trusted with another Ajith film after Good Bad Ugly.
The technical team comprises editor Vijay Velukutty, cinematographer Abinandhan Ramanujam, stunt choreographer Supreme Sundar and sound designer Suren. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, his fourth film with Ajith after Vivegam, Vedalam and Vidaamuyarchi. The film co-stars Sreeleela, Parthiban, and Unni Mukundan, who were present at the launch.
Daredevil marks Ajith’s return to films after a break to focus on racing. The actor was recently seen at Silverstone in the UK, where he competed in the Michelin Le Mans Cup on September 12. Former Tamil film star and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, who was there to flag off the event, was photographed greeting and hugging Ajith, and the pictures drew wide attention online.
