Alia Bhatt will present one of the five Earthshot Prize awards at the 2026 ceremony in Mumbai, marking the event's first time in India. The globally streamed event will feature prominent figures like Rami Malek and Sachin Tendulkar, celebrating innovative solutions to environmental challenges.

Alia Bhatt has been confirmed as one of the presenters at The Earthshot Prize 2026 Awards Night, which will be held in Mumbai. Bhatt will be among the prominent names across film, music, sports, and entertainment who will be attending the event.

The ceremony, which brings together 5,000 guests, will mark the first time the event is streamed globally on Prime Video.

Bhatt will present one of the five Earthshot Prize awards at the ceremony. She will be joined by guests including Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and British actress and musician Simone Ashley. The event will be hosted by Karan Johar. Additional names are expected to be announced ahead of the event.

Speaking about the prestigious award and her involvement, Bhatt shared, "The Earthshot Prize is really about hope… but hope that comes with ideas, action and people who are finding new ways forward. That’s what makes it so inspiring to be a part of. There are people across the world doing incredible work to protect and repair our planet, often in ways we may never have imagined."

She added, "To have Mumbai bring all these people together feels very special. I’m proud that India gets to be part of this moment, and I’m really looking forward to celebrating the people behind these solutions and the work they’re doing for all of us."

The Earthshot Prize was founded by Prince William in 2020 and was incubated within The Royal Foundation before becoming an independent organisation. Structured around five environmental challenges: Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World and Fix Our Climate, the award aims to identify and support solutions to environmental problems over a ten-year period, with the goal of discovering 50 winners across that span.

The 2026 ceremony in Mumbai is the first time the Earthshot Prize has been held in India. The event's arrival in Mumbai follows previous editions held in London, Boston, Singapore, Cape Town and Rio de Janeiro.
