Amit Trivedi joins producer Sandeep Singh’s ambitious historical epic 'The Pride Of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj' as composer, marking his first foray into Hindi historical cinema. Starring Rishab Shetty as Shivaji with Arjun Rampal and Vivek Oberoi, the two-part pan-India saga pairs Trivedi with National Award-winning lyricist Prasoon Joshi to craft a powerful score reflecting the warrior king’s courage and legacy.
Amit Trivedi has come on board as the composer for filmaker Sandeep Singh's historical The Pride Of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which will go on floors later this year. The film is headlined by Rishab Shetty.
Billed as a two-part cinematic saga, the film will feature Shetty as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, alongside Arjun Rampal and Vivek Oberoi.
The announcement comes shortly after music composer Pritam revealed on Instagram his decision to take a pause from mainstream music, saying, "I have decided to gift myself a few years to live differently" and that he has "always been more curious about the roads unexplored."
The film also marks a new territory for Trivedi, who will step into the world of Hindi historical epics for the very first time. Joining him is National Award-winning lyricist Prasoon Joshi, who has been part of the project since its inception.

His ability to blend powerful orchestration with deeply rooted Indian melodies, combined with Prasoon Joshi’s powerful writing, makes for an exceptional creative partnership," says a source close to the production.
"The music has to reflect the courage, vision, emotion and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and we are confident this soundtrack will become one of the defining highlights of the film,” the source added.
According to the makers, The Pride Of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is being mounted as one of the biggest pan-India films on the Maratha warrior king.
