Director Anup Bhandari unveiled the striking first look of Kiccha Sudeep’s fantasy action drama Billa Ranga Baasha on the star’s birthday, teasing their reunion after Vikrant Rona. The “First Blood” poster shows Sudeep in an intense, old-school avatar amid trains and fighter jets, as production resumes under Primeshow Entertainment with Sudeep also on board as producer.
Director Anup Bhandari released the first look poster of Kiccha Sudeep from his upcoming action-adventure Billa Ranga Baasha on September 2, marking the actor's birthday.
Revealing the first look poster, titled 'First Blood', on his social media, the director wrote, "Billa unleashed! Happy birthday @KicchaSudeep sir. Can't wait for the world to witness this poster come alive on the big screen."
The poster shows Sudeep riding a bike with his eyes locked ahead in a sharp, intense avatar. With his hair tied back in a bun, the actor appears to be dressed in old-school garb, with fur attire on his shoulders and steampunk-style glasses on his head. A train engine, appearing to have derailed from the track, is seen crashing through the air above the superstar, as fighter jets are seen flying in the background. The film's title appears at the bottom of the image, however no release date or major production details are provided on the poster.
Billa Ranga Baasha is written and directed by Anup Bhandari, who previously directed the Kannada thriller Vikrant Rona (2022), which starred Kiccha Sudeep in the lead role. Billa Ranga Baasha marks the duo’s reunion after Vikrant Rona, as well as Bhandari's directorial return.
The film, described as a fantasy action drama, is backed by Telugu production house Primeshow Entertainment, under producers Chaitanya Reddy, K. Niranjan Reddy, and Sudeep himself.
Earlier this year, Sudeep shared an update on X, regarding the status of the film's production, confirming that production would resume on June 26 and putting to rest speculation around the progress of the long-awaited project. He shared that while he has been on a break from films, he currently has four scripts locked, and with the production of BRB resuming, other productions will follow.
He wrote in his post, "Hitting the floor on 26th with "BRB",, and then its a continuous process of making movies. Have locked 4 scripts and I'm excited to start them all soon."
Sudeep's recent credits include KD: The Devil (2026), Mark (2025), Max (2025). He will also return to screens this month as the host of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 13, a role he has taken on for all 13 seasons of the show.
No release date for Billa Ranga Baasha has been announced.
