Nani teases fans with a glimpse of his stylish action drama, Bloody Romeo, directed by Sujeeth. The promotional video hints at a unique blend of culinary artistry and gangster intrigue, promising a theatrical and witty experience. The film, announced on Nani's birthday, showcases him as a chef-gangster, with explosive sequences adding flair to the narrative.
Nani’s upcoming film with Sujeeth, Bloody Romeo, has offered a glimpse into its world with a new promotional video. The makers recently released a brief clip of Nani getting into character with a suave new haircut. But the video is strategically cut so as to not reveal the look in its entirety. The film is believed to be a stylish action drama with a culinary element, as the video ends with an illustration of a food truck doused in neon colours with the words,"The kitchen opens soon."
Its earlier two-minute animated teaser presented Nani in a chef-inspired avatar inside what is framed as a gangster den. The sequence showed the character preparing a meal — chopping onions, crushing garlic and seasoning with deliberate flair — while a group of gangsters convened nearby. The tone shifted as he placed a hand grenade on a pressure cooker lid; the ensuing explosion wiped out the assembled men.
Bloody Romeo was announced on Nani's birthday in February. The film is directed by Sujeeth, known for Saaho (2019) and They Call Him OG (2025). While Nani declined to share details about his role in a recent interview with THR India, he said the film would be a contrast to The Paradise (2026). Bloody Romeo also has violence, he said, but not in the raw manner of his latest release.
"It's a very theatrical, stylish experience. Sujeeth came up with a twist to that which makes it extremely witty combined with action," Nani said. “After Paradise, it’s going to be a refreshing watch.”
After Bloody Romeo, Nani will move on to a love story, which he described as "a very subtle, sweet movie" meant for audiences of all ages, from children to adults.
Details about the film's title and director are yet to be revealed. "Children are always the first to run up to me at functions or public appearances," he shared. "I'm happy that I'm working on a film that even they can watch."
