A month after industry reports claimed Netflix was closing in on a celebrity talk show with Chiranjeevi, the project has been made official: the Telugu star will make his streaming debut with Megaverse, a conversation series that has already gone into production.

For the first time in a career spanning over four decades, Chiranjeevi will be on the other side of the table, hosting rather than headlining a story. The series will bring him together with stars and personalities across generations, in a format built around candid exchanges, anecdotes and revelations. The announcement leans on the actor’s warmth and spontaneity, promising viewers a side of him not seen in his films.

The makers have described the show as an intimate look at the journeys and legacies of cinema’s legends, with Chiranjeevi as its emotional anchor. However, no guests have been named, and the announcement does not make clear whether the line-up will stay within Telugu cinema or stretch across Indian film.

Megaverse is produced by Gold Box Entertainments, Atom Media Ventures and Sol Production LLP. Gold Box is the banner of Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmita Konidela, who also co-produced his January 2026 release Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu with Shine Screens. Earlier reports had linked Konidela to the talk show as well.

The move follows a trail laid by other Telugu names. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Unstoppable on Aha popularised the celebrity chat format in the language, and Rana Daggubati has fronted a show of his own. Pre-announcement reports also suggested Netflix first proposed a documentary on Chiranjeevi, but the actor preferred a podcast-style conversation series. Neither Netflix nor the production team has confirmed this.

Chiranjeevi is no stranger to the platform as a film name. Waltair Veerayya streamed on Netflix in February 2023, but Megaverse marks his first appearance in an original capacity.
