Indra Kumar’s ensemble comedy caper Dhamaal 4 wrapped its opening weekend on a strong note, collecting an estimated ₹28.50 crore net in India on its first Sunday (July 12), according to figures by trade tracker Sacnilk.
The treasure hunt comedy, led by Ajay Devgn, recorded an overall 44% occupancy across 11,481 shows, registering its biggest single-day haul so far.
The film opened to ₹14 crore net on Friday with 24% occupancy, before witnessing a sharp jump on Saturday. The film collected ₹22.50 crore on its second day, aided by improved footfalls and 35% occupancy, marking a 60.7% growth over its opening day.
At the end of its first weekend, Dhamaal 4 has amassed an estimated ₹65 crore net and ₹78 crore gross in India.
Meanwhile, in overseas markets, the film added ₹4 crore gross on Sunday, taking its international tally to ₹14 crore gross. With this, the film’s worldwide gross collection stands at ₹92 crore after three days.
Helmed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 is the fourth installment in the popular Dhamaal franchise, which began in 2007. The film reunites the franchise’s core cast—Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi—alongside Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra and Esha Gupta. Devgn joined the franchise in Total Dhamaal (2019) and has since been its main headliner.
This time, the characters embark on a hunt for the “Treasure of Life,” only to find themselves caught in a series of increasingly absurd adventures and comic misadventures.
Dhamaal 4 was released in theaters on July 10. Devgn will next be seen in Drishyam 3, the third chapter in the Hindi Drishyam franchise. According to earlier reports, the actor is a also in talks for a horror comedy with director JP Thuminad, the filmmaker behind the blockbuster Kannada film Su From So.
