Emmay Entertainment marks its 15th anniversary with a slate of 15 projects spanning theatrical films and streaming originals, including a Nikkhil Advani-directed political action thriller inspired by real events. Co-founder Monisha Advani credits the company’s growth to partner trust, financial discipline, and a commitment to sustainable employment and talent-building.

Emmay Entertainment is ready to rock and roll. To mark its 15th anniversary celebration, the production house—founded by partners Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani—is set to announce a slate of 15 titles, comprising a mix of theatrical features and streaming originals.

"Fifteen years ago, the three of us put our hands in our pockets and pulled out just ₹25 lakhs each. We invested that into this business and have watched it grow," Monisha tells THR India about the journey of Emmay Entertainment, which debuted with D-Day and went on to back over 35 titles across films and series, including Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, Satyameva Jayate, Rocket Boys, and Freedom at Midnight.

The new titles, to be announced in full detail shortly, will also include a Nikkhil Advani-directed political action thriller based on real-life events.

Monisha attributes Emmay’s current scale to a consistent focus on partner satisfaction and financial viability.

"That reliability is why they keep coming back and why we enjoy an agnostic relationship with every platform and studio in the industry. We are incredibly grateful for that. Their belief in us has allowed us to build talent and create employment at a scale none of us ever dreamed of.

"Ultimately, this isn't just about 15 titles coming out of Emmay but about 15 projects featuring fantastic talent, working in an industry where we must never forget our collective responsibility to create sustainable employment," Monisha adds.

Emmay Entertainment is currently awiating the release of its period drama The Revolutionaries, created and directed by Nikkhil Advani.

The Prime Video show is an adaptation of Sanjeev Sanyal’s book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom and revisits a lesser-seen side of India’s freedom movement, focusing on the stories of young patriots who believed that armed resistance was essential to bringing down British rule.

The show features Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, Gurfateh Pirzada and Jason Shah.
