Kanika Dhillon is set to debut in the streaming space with a romance series featuring an A-list actor. Following the streaming success of films like the Haseen Dilruba franchise, Do Patti, and her latest Gandhari, writer-producer Kanika Dhillon will now enter new territory: Long form storytelling.
According to sources, Dhillon is exploring her first-ever web series, diving into the long-format space with a "passionate" love story.
While the makers are yet to make an official announcement, a source close to the development has hinted that the series "travels into the intense, high-stakes romance drama space" after her critically acclaimed romance-dramas Manmarziyaan and Kedarnath.
The source shared that the project is shaping up as an emotionally charged romance that "moves away from conventional genre templates."
"Dhillon will explore the more nuanced and vulnerable aspects of human relationships in her debut long-format series, with the narrative said to offer a fresh and immersive take on modern love."
