The teaser of action-romantic drama Gunmaaster G9 reunites Emraan Hashmi with director Aditya Datt and composer Himesh Reshammiya nearly two decades after Aashiq Banaya Aapne. Hashmi plays Eshwar, a dairy farm owner ready to risk everything for his beloved, in a film promising nostalgia, high-octane action, sweeping romance and music, releasing November 27.
There will be more nostalgia, there will be more of Emraan Hashmi. The makers of Gunmaaster G9 on Tuesday unveiled the teaser of their upcoming action romantic drama, that features Hashmi alongside Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurana.
Backed by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and Deepak Mukut, the film is directed by Aditya Datt with music by Himesh Reshammiya. Gunmaaster G9 marks the reunion of Hashmi, Datt and Reshammiya nearly two decades after their hit Aashiq Banaya Aapne.
For Soham Rockstar Entertainment, Gunmaaster G9 also marks another collaboration with Reshammiya after the musical hit Sanam Teri Kasam.
Hashmi said, “Adi and I have worked together in the past and we share a wonderful relationship as creative collaborators. We get each other intrinsically and when we are on set, we bring out the best in each other. I play Eshwar in the film— an ordinary dairy farm owner who is willing to go to any lengths for his beloved!"
Datt added that the film will see Hashmi leave no stone unturned in protecting the love of his life from everything that threatens her. "The film combines action, romance and music to give all Emraan Hashmi fans a complete entertainer," the director added.
Producer Deepak Mukut said in a statement that Gunmaaster G9 has "all the ingredients that make it a big screen experience." The film will release on November 27.
