The trailer of Dulquer Salmaan’s long-awaited action thriller I’m Game finally drops after a brief delay, plunging viewers into a high-stakes world of casinos and cricket betting. Dulquer plays a flamboyant risk-taker whose seemingly perfect run collapses overnight. Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, the film promises slick visuals, heavy action and pure entertainment for the Onam season.
After a release delayed by two days, the trailer of Dulquer Salmaan's newest action thriller, I’m Game, is finally out, and the wait appears to have been worth it.
The stylish trailer takes one into a high stakes world, one where Dulquer’s flamboyant character looks like he can do no wrong in this mad mad world. That is, until everything falls apart one day.
A casino and a cricket betting backdrop appear to be the main talking points of the trailer. The heroine, played by Kayadu Lohar, seems to be someone helping the hero get over his issues. Stylishly shot by Jimshi Khalid, Nihas Hidhayath’s second film after RDX is what he chooses to call an entertainment. A dialogue in the trailer describes that to be the intention of the film. Glimpse of Mysskin and Kathir's characters can alsp be seen at the end of the trailer. Anthony Pepe’s role remains hidden thus far.
The story of I'm Game is written by director Nahas Hidayath, with Bilal Moidu, Ismail Aboobacker and Sajeer Baba working on the screenplay. Dialogues are by Shahabas Rasheed and Adarsh Sukumaran. Cinematographer Jimshi Khalid, music director Jakes Bejoy, editor Chaman Chakko, and action choreographers Anbariv form the remaining core crew.
The film marks Dulquer's comeback to a leading role in Malayalam after his 2023 crime drama, King of Kotha, which received mixed reviews. He was seen in a cameo in Lokah Chapter One: Chandra (2025), which he also produced. This film went on to become the biggest ever hit of Malayalam cinema.
Some of his other prominent outings include the Telugu money drama Lucky Baskhar (2024), directed by Venky Atluri, and Kaantha in Tamil.
I’m Game is one of three high-profile Malayalam releases in August for the Onam season. I’m Game and Prithviraj’s Khalifa release on August 20, with Nivin Pauly’s Bethlehem Kuduma Unit releasing a day later.
