The trailer introduces several of the central players in the story and outlines a struggle for influence and control within the town, hinting at tensions between law enforcement officials, political figures and local gang leaders.
Speaking about the series, director Garry BH said, “Isakapatnam is a fictional series driven by deeply authentic characters and universal human emotions. While the story is rooted in a unique world, themes of greed, ambition, love, loss, and revenge make it extremely relatable. Promising to entertain and enthrall audiences, the story is filled with unexpected twists and turns as the characters cross paths in their pursuit of absolute power.”
Samuthirakani, who plays a character named Naidu, shared, “What immediately drew me to the series was the strength of its storytelling and the complexity of my character, Naidu. Beyond the action and drama, the narrative delves into themes of greed, revenge, and ambition and how they can drive people to make life-altering decisions.”
About working with Samuthirakani for the third time, Aishwarya Rajesh commented, “I’m working with Samuthirakani sir after 2 films: Vada Chennai and Enga Veetu Pillai. It’s always a pleasure working with him. This is my second collaboration with Prime Video after Suzhal. And this time I’m back with a Telugu role, which is an honour. This will be new. Bharathi is a strong-willed woman and is singularly focused. I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to play such a character.”
Isakapatnam will stream on Prime Video from July 2 in Telugu, with dubbed versions available in Tamil and Hindi. The series will also be available with subtitles in multiple languages for audiences in India and international territories.
