H Vinoth has revealed that six deleted scenes from Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan will likely be released soon, including two fun, two action and two emotional segments. The announcement comes as Vijay’s final film, produced by KVN Productions and co-starring Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol, crosses ₹200 crore globally despite earlier CBFC hurdles and a piracy leak.

Tamil filmmaker H Vinoth, in a recent event, confirmed that six deleted scenes from Thalapathy Vijay's latest film Jana Nayagan might be released soon. "There are about six scenes, two of them with fun scenes from sir [Vijay], two action scenes, and two emotional scenes. The production will roll them out soon, hopefully by next week," the filmmaker said.

Despite mixed reviews, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamil film star C Joseph Vijay's final film recently grossed ₹217.48 crore at the worldwide box office, following a four-day run at the theatres, according to Sacnilk

The film, which opened on July 23 with ₹ 42.70 crore in India net, made ₹27.50 crore overseas. According to Sacnilk, the Tamil version remains the primary contributor with ₹108.25 crore net, while the Hindi and Telugu versions contributed ₹9.65 crore and ₹6.85 crore, respectively, among the film's India collections of ₹124.75 crore.

Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions, the same banner behind Toxic and Karavali. The film stars Vijay alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj and Narain. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.

The box office performance comes in after the film faced severe headwinds ahead of its theatrical debut—spending six months embroiled in a CBFC certification dispute before an HD print was pirated and leaked online in April.

Jana Nayagan's opening falls below the first-day numbers of Vijay's previous two films. The GOAT (2024) had netted approximately ₹52 crore in India on its opening day, while Leo (2023) collected a net of ₹64.80 crore net on Day 1.
