Sundeep Kishan's next film, Karikaala, an ambitious fantasy adventure, will be released in two parts. The announcement was made on X, along with a first-look poster of Sundeep from the film, which shows him in royal finery next to a lion in the forest.

Directed by Ugandhar Muni, the film will be produced by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajasekhar Annabhimoju. The first part of the film will be released on July 2, 2027, and the second part will be out on October 28, 2027.

Sundeep, who was last seen in Netflix comedy Super Subbu, will next be seen in Jason Sanjay's Sigma. The upcoming Tamil film will mark the debut of Jason Sanjay, the son of Tamil actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay.

While sharing exclusive glimpses of the unreleased trailer of Sigma, Sundeep discussed with THR India the scale and grandeur of Jason's big-budget action drama, calling it his biggest commercial outing to date. “We are very excited about it, and we’re also very aware of the hype and expectations surrounding it. At this moment, Sigma feels more like a cultural experience than a film. Sanjay has made a very cool film that’s also a lot of fun. It’s a film that will connect with children as much as it will connect with the older lot. I’m sure it will be a very special film. It’s come out really well, and it looks huge," he added.

Sundeep has previously acted in Tamil hits such as MaanagaramRaayan and Captain MillerSigma is set across countries, drawing on elements from the world of gambling and racing. The Tamil film's music is by Thaman S, and it is produced by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions.
