Lollapalooza India has officially locked in dates for its landmark fifth edition. Widely recognised as Asia’s largest multi-genre music festival, the cultural flagship will return to its home ground at Mumbai’s iconic Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 23 and 24, 2027.

Since launching in 2023, the festival has evolved into one of the most influential forces shaping South Asia’s live entertainment ecosystem —blending global headliners with fashion, culinary arts, and youth culture.

Ticketing will kick off on BookMyShow with an exclusive pre-sale for RuPay credit card holders on August 30, followed by early-bird general sales opening at 11:00 AM IST on September 2.

Over four editions, Lollapalooza India has built a track record of securing top-tier global talent alongside prominent domestic acts. Past international rosters include Imagine Dragons, The Strokes, Sting, OneRepublic, Jonas Brothers, Green Day, Shawn Mendes, Louis Tomlinson, Playboi Carti, Linkin Park, and YUNGBLUD.

Simultaneously, the festival has championed homegrown names such as DIVINE, Hanumankind, Prateek Kuhad, Bloodywood, Nucleya, and Talwiinder.

The 2027 announcement follows a milestones for the brand in 2026, which recorded the highest overall attendance in festival history. Linkin Park’s much-anticipated Mumbai performance delivered the largest single-set crowd since Lollapalooza’s Indian debut.

According to organiser metrics, the festival has become a major engine for domestic music tourism, with nearly two in three attendees traveling from outside Mumbai. They claimed that the festival also boasts unmatched loyalty, reporting a 97 per cent repeat-intent rate among surveyed festival-goers, solidifying its standing as an indispensable calendar event for live music in the region.
