Amazon MX Player drops the trailer for Made in India – A Titan Story, a six-part period drama tracing how JRD Tata and maverick executive Xeres Desai turned Titan into a national legacy. Starring Naseeruddin Shah and Jim Sarbh, the June 6 release explores ambition, mentorship and the human grit behind building India’s most successful consumer brand.
Amazon MX Player on Tuesday unveiled the trailer of its show Made in India – A Titan Story. The period drama stars Naseeruddin Shah as JRD Tata and features Jim Sarbh as Xerxes Desai, the maverick executive who shaped the brand Titan for the Tata Group.
According to the streamer, the six-part series explores "ambition, mentorship, and the relentless pursuit of excellence that turned an unlikely idea into a national legacy."
Adapted from Vinay Kamath’s book 'Titan - India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand', the show is written by Karan Vyas, directed by Robbie Grewal, and produced by Almighty Motion Pictures.
Talking about the series, Shah said the story is about "people, belief, and the courage to back an idea when success is still uncertain."
He further shared that what fascinated him about playing JRD Tata was not just his vision, but the "quiet confidence with which he inspired people to dream bigger than they thought possible."
"He had an extraordinary ability to spot potential and nurture it with trust, something that feels increasingly rare," Shah addeded.
To Sarbh, his character Xerxes Desai struck him as someone who was quietly rebellious, unafraid to challenge convention and imagine "what didn’t yet exist.”
Sarbh stated that though the series speaks of ambition and scale, at its core, it’s "deeply human, about persistence, instinct, and believing in an idea long before anyone else does."
The show also features Namita Dubey, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Lakshvir Saran, and Kaveri Seth.

Produced by Prabhleen Sandhu (Founder, Almighty Motion Picture), the 6-part series is set to release on June 3.
