Alphonse Puthren and Nivin Pauly reunite after the blockbuster Premam for a new film titled Vijayam, unveiled at a grand multi-city launch. Set in the world of racing, the film features Nivin as a racer with a distinct new look. Written, directed and edited by Puthren, it is produced by Pauly Jr. Pictures with music by Steve Kottoor.
In a grand, multi-city launch event, Alphonse Puthren’s new film with Nivin Pauly was officially launched: Vijayam (translates to 'Victory'). The duo had previously made Premam and Neram, and the former became one of the biggest hits of Malayalam cinema, turning Nivin into a superstar. Alphonse would go on to direct Gold after Premam, starring Prithviraj, which is considered a box office misfire.
The first look of Vijayam shows Nivin Pauly in the outfit of a racer with a motocross motorbike right behind him. He also appears to have worked on a specific look for this film, looking different from the characters he has played before this. Set against the backdrop of the world of racing, the film is written, directed, and edited by Alphonse Puthren.
It is produced by Pauly Jr. Pictures, joined by Tonson Tony and Sunil Ramadi under the banner of Cineholics. The project's design and executive production are handled by Kuttu Sivanandan. "Every great ride begins with a little faith..and someone willing to take the first turn with you. Back with the friend who started this journey with me. Presenting the official first look poster in Malayalam , English and Tamil of #Vijayam A @puthrenalphonse Film," Pauly wrote on X.
The background score is composed by Kerala-born Steve Kottoor, who previously worked on the music production for Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2.
