Prime Video’s Jagamae Sangeetham, a Telugu adaptation of Bandish Bandits, premieres worldwide on September 4. Created and directed by Palnati Surya Pratap, the musical drama stars Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Madhubala, Akshay Lagusani and Sushmita Shetty. Centred on Balu, heir to a Carnatic legacy, it explores family rifts, artistic ambition and music as an emotional language.
Prime Video has announced a new arrival - Jagamae Sangeetham - a Telugu musical drama series based on the platform's original Hindi series Bandish Bandits. Starring Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Madhubala, Akshay Lagusani, and Sushmita Shetty in leading roles, the original series will premiere worldwide on September 4.
Jagamae Sangeetham is created and directed by Palnati Surya Pratap and produced by Sushmita Konidela. The screenplay is written by Vangala Surya Manoj, Shravani Samudrala and A.R. Prabhav. Music is composed by Vishal Chandrasekar, whose score draws on Carnatic classical traditions alongside a contemporary sound.
The series follows Balu, the grandson of Shastri, a musician who has spent his life devoted to Carnatic music. Heir to his grandfather's legacy, Balu finds himself navigating fractured family relationships, long-standing rivalries and his own artistic ambitions. The story places music at the centre of the family as expressions of devotion, resentment and longing.
Beyond the ensemble cast, the series includes Suman, Sijju Menon, Shafi, Jhansi, and Raghu Babu Yerra among others.

Premiering on September 4, the series will stream worldwide in Telugu with English subtitles and a Tamil dub.
