Netlfix's latest Tamil family comedy, Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, marking director Elan's acting debut, premieres on Netflix on August 21. Starring Saanvee Meghana as Pavi, Elan's bride, the film is set to be a family entertainer packed with laughs and drama.
Netflix has announced its upcoming Tamil-language family entertainer, Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, directed by and starring Elan in his debut acting role. The film was announced with a trailer release on August 12, announcing a premiere date of August 21 on the platform.
Directed by Elan, who also makes his acting debut in the film, this comedy drama stars Saanvee Meghana as the female lead, Pavi. The trailer establishes the film's central premise: Pavi, a new bride, refuses to leave her family home after marriage, so her husband, played by Elan, moves into her house instead. The trailer follows his attempts to navigate and adjust to his wife's family, with the comedy arising from the reversal of a convention where typically the bride relocates to the groom's home. Pavi's character is introduced as an influencer who is clear about what she wants from the relationship.
The supporting cast includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, M.S. Bhaskar, Geetha Kailasam, Elango Kumaravel, Senthil and Maran. Music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
