Tamannaah Bhatia has begun shooting in London for Ragini 3, the latest chapter in Balaji Motion Pictures’ Ragini MMS horror franchise directed by Shashanka Ghosh. Co-starring Junaid Khan in their first on-screen pairing, the 2027 theatrical release promises a bigger scale, blending romance, horror and humor while staying true to the series’ original eerie tone.
Balaji Motion Pictures has commenced production on Shashanka Ghosh's Ragini 3, the third installment in the Ragini MMS horror franchise.
Actor Tamannaah Bhatia, who is headlining the film alongside Junaid Khan, has begun filming the first schedule in London. The film marks the duo's first on-screen collaboration and is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2027.
Positioned as a date night horror, Ragini 3 marks a new collaboration between Ghosh and Balaji Motion Pictures, following their previous work together on Veere Di Wedding and Freddy. The makers state that the latest chapter aims to elevate the scale and presentation of the series.
Combining romance, jump scares and a surprising turn of events, Ragini 3 will give the horror franchise a new form and a gripping new chapter, while staying true to the franchise's original feel, the makers said.
Bhatia, known for her presence across Hindi, Telugu and Tamil cinema and seamlessly transitioning between commercial entertainers and genre-driven roles, is set to embody a fresh character in Ragini 3. The film is also Khan's first horror outing.
Ragini 3 is produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd. While the film has gone on floors in London, additional details about the cast and plot are expected to be unveiled in the upcoming months.
This year, Bhatia will also be seen in Vvan - Force of the Forest, starring alongside Sidharth Malhotra. She is also a part of the action-comedy Purushan, alongside actor Vishal, and the Siddhant Chaturvedi-starrer biopic, V. Shataram.
