Eros Innovation has announced a three-part slate led by Eros Brahmand, a mythology-based cinematic universe of nine interconnected titles inspired by Indian folklore. The company will also expand six hit films, including Tanu Weds Manu and English Vinglish, into new formats, and launch Eros Remastered with a restored version of Rajinikanth’s pioneering motion-capture film Kochadaiiyaan.
Eros Innovation has announced a major three-part content slate that includes a new mythology-based cinematic universe, franchise expansions of existing film titles, and a restoration programme for classic films.
At the heart of the announcement is Eros Brahmand, a mythology-based cinematic universe comprising nine original titles: Nandi – War of Kailasa, Dwaarka: Gateway to the Universe, Vimaan Wars, Mahabharat 5000 A.D., Yakshinis, Brahmarakshak, Garuda, Kumbhayanna and Mansa Devi. The company has announced that the projects will form an interconnected storytelling universe inspired by Indian mythology and folklore. No casting or release timelines have been disclosed for most of the titles.
The second initiative, Eros Universe, will extend six existing film titles into new stories and characters. These titles include Tanu Weds Manu, Phobia, English Vinglish, Desi Boyz, Rangeela, and Tere Naam. The expansions are set to span films, animation, microdramas, and character-led content.
One title with confirmed production details is Tanu Weds Manu – The Next Chapter, directed by Mitakshara Kumar, known for Heeramandi and The Empire. The film is being co-produced with Rudrak Soma Jyoti Limited and is scheduled to go into production in 2026.
The third initiative, Eros Remastered, will begin with the 2014 Rajinikanth film Kochadaiiyaan, India's first motion-capture feature. The film will be restored and reimagined under the creative direction of Soundarya Rajinikanth, who originally directed it. The film was released in 2014.
Kishore Lulla, Founder and Chairman of Eros Innovation commented on the announcement, "We are bringing together original mythology-inspired stories, beloved film titles and classic cinema under one umbrella. Our aim is to create stories that can engage audiences across generations and formats.”
Ridhima Lulla, Co-Founder and Co-President of Eros Innovation, added, “From building Brahmand to revisiting films that audiences have loved over the years, this slate reflects our ambition to tell stories in new and engaging ways.” The first look video for the Bramhand Universe announces Riddhima Lulla as the creator of the venture.
