Continuing its promotional rollout on the global stage, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana will be showcased at CinemaCon 2026, scheduled to take place in Las Vegas from April 13 to 16. Actor Yash, who plays Ravana in the film starring Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, is expected to attend the event along with producer Namit Malhotra. The presentation marks a significant international platform for the upcoming adaptation. The makers had earlier debuted a teaser centred on Kapoor in Los Angeles.
CinemaCon is one of the biggest film conventions in the world, organised by the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO). Held in Las Vegas, it brings together studio executives, filmmakers, exhibitors and press for presentations, exclusive footage screenings, and announcements of upcoming films. Major studios use the event to showcase their theatrical slate to cinema owners and industry stakeholders. This year, big Hollywood titles like The Odyssey, Dune 3, Avengers: Doomsday, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Supergirl, and Frozen 3 are being showcased at the annual event.
In the lead-up to the event, posters from Ramayana have been circulating online. The makers are expected to hold private press meets during CinemaCon, where select footage or promotional material may be shared with attendees.
Ramayana, produced by Namit Malhotra, is one of the most ambitious Indian productions currently in development. An adaptation of the Valmiki Ramayana, the film is split into two parts, releasing in Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027 respectively. Reportedly mounted on a ₹4000 budget (across both parts), it is the most expensive Indian production till date.
An extended glimpse from the film was released earlier this month. The teaser introduced Kapoor's Rama as the central figure in the cosmic tale of god vs evil. The visuals from the teaser received mixed reactions, with many on social media criticising the effects and creature designs. DNEG, an eight-time Oscar-winning visual effects company, is working on Ramayana. In a statement following the teaser, Namit Malhotra assured fans that the film will do justice to the epic.
