Ravi Teja and Vivek Athreya's Telugu film, now titled 'Thulabharam', was launched with a pooja ceremony. Ravi Teja and director Vivek Athreya's Telugu film, tentatively referred to as RT78 until now, was formally launched on October 11 with a pooja ceremony. The makers have also released an announcement video titled 'The Title Documentary', which reveals the film's title, Thulabharam.
The video reveals the film's themes, which juggle a blend of crime, drama, and entertainment. It also announces its key characters, with Anil Karella as Jadeja, Ravi Anthony as Robin, Anaswara Rajan as Sound, Tharun Bhascker as Devaraj, JD Chakravarthy as Sivaji Rao, and Priyanka Mohan as Krishnaveni.
The video presents Ravi Teja under the new description of "Crime Maharaja" and "Nava Ravitejamu" — a title revamping his long-established screen identity as Mass Maharaja.
The launch event was attended by filmmaker VV Vinayak and Irumudi director Shiva Nirvana. Mythri Movie Makers' Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar were also present at the event.
Thulabharam is a crime drama written and directed by Vivek Athreya. It is produced by Laxman and Srini Rao under the Bridge Productions banner. Music for the film is composed by Vivek Sagar, who has previously collaborated with Vivek Athreya on Brochevarevarura (2019) and Ante Sundaraniki (2022). Cinematography is by Theni Eswar and editing by Raviteja Girijala.
Ravi Teja's most recent theatrical release, Irumudi, became his career-best hit and grossed ₹200 crore worldwide, according to Mythri Movie Makers. The actor is also known for projects like Vikramarkudu (2006), Kick (2009), Khadgam (2002), Mass Jathara (2025), and more.
The film also stars Anaswara Rajan, known for her roles in Neru (2023), Rekhachitram (2025) and more. She is also set to feature in Chiranjeevi's Kaaka, which is aimed at a Sankranti 2027 release.
Vivek Athreya has previously directed Saripodhaa Sanivaaram (2024), Ante Sundaraniki (2022), Brochevarevarura (2019) and Mental Madhilo (2017). Thulabharam marks his first collaboration with Ravi Teja.
Principal photography on Thulabharam is scheduled to begin shortly, with further details yet to be announced.
