The trailer for Scene introduces Suriya as DSP Inbaraj, a laid-back cop who resigns at the peak of his career. However, his carefree life takes a turn when he is drawn into investigating a cold-blooded killer, Eeswaran. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the crime comedy is set to release on November 6.

The makers of the Suriya-starrer crime comedy Scene unveiled its trailer on November 1, introducing the actor as DSP Inbaraj — a laid-back, unbothered cop at the peak of his career, who suddenly decides to resign.

Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the project is jointly backed by Suriya's newly launched Zhagaram Studios and his home banner 2D Entertainment, with Jyotika producing alongside the actor and Jaishree Damodaran serving as co-producer.

The trailer begins with Suriya's character submitting his resignation from J4 police station, which shocks everyone working with him.

However, for Inbaraj, resigning feels a lot like freedom as he uses this time to enjoy at home. His superior officer, Stephen, repeatedly asks him to report back to the station, but he keeps refusing until a group of police officers carry him out of his house. And he lets them carry him willingly.

At the police station, Stephen asks him, "At present, you're at the peak of your career. what would you do after resigining?" to which he responds, "Politics! I’m going to step into politics.” This is when Maya (Nazriya Nazim) is briefly introduced as his house help.

Things get interesting for Inbaraj when Naslen comes into the picture as the main antagonist, Eeswaran, a sharp, cold-blooded killer who is always plotting and on the run.

Scene marks Suriya's third film this year, following Karuppu and Vishwanath and Sons. As for Naslen, the actor was last seen in Mollywood Times.

The crime comedy will arrive in theatres on November 6.
