Raj B. Shetty joins Sivakarthikeyan’s rural action drama Seyon, produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media. Announced on Shetty’s birthday with a fiery character poster, the film marks Sivakarthikeyan’s 26th outing and second collaboration with the banner, co-starring Bhagyashri Borse and backed by composer Santhosh Narayanan.
Raj B. Shetty has been confirmed as a member of the cast of Seyon, the Tamil rural action drama starring Sivakarthikeyan, produced by Raaj Kamal Films International. The post made on July 5 celebrated Shetty's birthday as well as marked an important cast announcement. The makers released a character poster with the announcement, showing Shetty's character standing in shadow against a backdrop of fire.

Seyon is Sivakarthikeyan's 26th film and his second collaboration with Raaj Kamal Films International, Kamal Haasan's production banner, after Amaran (2024). The film is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan and features Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead. Other cast members include Bala Saravanan, Aruldoss, Raichal Rabecca and Singampuli. R. Mahendran is also producing the film, under his banner Turmeric Media. The film's technical team includes Vivek Vijayakumar as director of photography, San Lokesh as editor, and Supreme Sundar as stunt coordinator. Music for the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
The film was officially announced with a first look on February 16, 2026. The dramatic first look of the film featured actor Sivakarthikeyan holding on to a sword, staring angrily towards the viewer, surrounded by as many as seven to eight peacocks, evoking the image of Lord Murugan.
Shetty, an actor, director and writer, rose to prominence with his debut directorial, Ondu Motteya Kathe (2017), which was produced through his banner Lighter Buddha Films. In recent years, he has appeared in the Malayalam film Turbo (2024) opposite Mammootty and Su From So (2025), J.P Tuminadu’s slapstick horror. He was most recently seen in Rakkasapuradhol (2026), a Kannada psychological crime thriller directed by Ravi Saranga.
