Telugu star Nani’s action drama The Paradise has emerged as a global box-office force, grossing ₹138 crore worldwide, including ₹109 crore in India and ₹92.10 crore net. Despite mixed reviews, it delivered Nani's career-best opening with ₹76 crore worldwide on Day 1, nearly doubling his previous records.
Telugu star Nani's recent action drama The Paradise has made ₹138 crore at the worldwide box office, according to Sacnilk. The film has further made ₹109 crore in India gross collections and ₹92.10 crore in India net, according to the box office tracker.
Even as the film fielded largely mixed reviews, The Paradise posted the star’s career-best opening day following its global release on Thursday. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the action drama minted an estimated ₹76 crore worldwide gross on Day 1. The figure marks a massive leap from Nani’s previous career high, HIT: The Third Case (around ₹38 crore worldwide), nearly doubling his former personal record set by Dasara (₹36.25 crore).
A day after release, Nani acknowledged and addressed the film's criticisms. "I have seen all your reactions and responses. I’ve received all your love and equally enjoyed your hilarious trolls. I’m heartwarmed by the way audience have owned the film, and also learnt from the flaws that critics and reviewers have pointed out. Thank you for everything is all I can say. We have made #TheParadise with a lot of blood and sweat to give you a unique experience, and it’s all yours to celebrate or judge. With the excitement you had for the film and the affection you showed on me, I am filled with gratitude," he wrote.
Screened across 9,732 shows on Thursday, The Paradise locked in an all-India net of ₹34.65 crore, pushing its total domestic gross—inclusive of previews—to ₹54.90 crore. Internationally, the actioner brought in an estimated ₹22 crore gross, solidifying its status as a global breakout.
Speaking at a press meet ahead of the release, Nani described The Paradise as the most demanding production of his 18-year career, both physically and emotionally.
"The Paradise is the most tiring film of my career, both physically and mentally. If there has been a film for which I have worked very hard in these 18 years of my film career, it is The Paradise." The Srikanth Odela film co-starred Kayadu Lohar and Raghav Juyal.
