The trailer for The Vvaan: Force of the Forest introduces Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia as a Mumbai couple returning to their village for Chhath Puja, only to confront a cursed forest where entry after sunset is banned. Blending folk horror, environmental greed and divine fury, Malhotra emerges as a chosen warrior in a supernatural battle hitting cinemas on September 25.
When ancient folk legends bleed into the modern world, survival becomes a matter of faith. The official trailer for Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer The Vvaan: Force of the Forest dropped on Wednesday, offering a scale-heavy look into an eerie supernatural universe where environmental greed clashes directly with divine wrath.
Directed by Panchayat creator Deepak Kumar Mishra and produced by Ektaa R. Kapoor alongside TVF’s Arunabh Kumar, the film marks Malhotra’s leap into full-blown folk-action-drama territory.
The story kicks off in Mumbai, where Malhotra and Bhatia play a married couple heading back to their ancestral roots for Chhath Puja. But the quiet village return quickly turns dark.
According to the makers, the film is billed as a folklore spectacle about a forbidden forest governed by a chilling rule: Entry into the forest after sunset is prohibited.
From nightmarish forest encounters and sudden divine visions to a past-life revelation that ties Malhotra’s destiny to the forest goddess herself, the trailer positions him not just as a survivor, but as a chosen warrior fighting off both human greed and supernatural terror.
The film also stars Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari, Manish Paul and Anup Soni. With dialouge by Anandeshwar Dwivedi, the film has been written by Arunabh Kumar, who has also produced it alongwith Niraj Kothari, Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor.
The film's music has been composed by Vishal Mishra, Amit Trivedi, Tanishk Bagchi and Sam CS.
The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest hits theaters across the country on September 25. It is a major film for Malhotra, who was last seen in the romantic-comedy Param Sundari, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. It is also Malhotra returning to the action space after the 2024 feature Yodha.
Bhatia, meanwhile, was last seen in the 2025 Telugu supernatural feature Odela 2 and also has a film lined up with Ajay Devgn, set to release next year.
