The Women of 'The Odyssey' Don't Just Play Gods — They're Dressed Like Them

From Zendaya's fresh-off-the-runway Schiaparelli to Anne Hathaway's bump-loving gowns, these are the best looks from 'The Odyssey' world press tour.

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey opens in theatres on July 17, but its leading women have already sparked as many conversations as the film itself did during its world press tour. Across stops in London, Paris and now New York, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o and Charlize Theron have turned their press tour looks into more than one-off red carpet moments — with regal tones, draping and metallics that are testaments to the mythological figures they play.

Zendaya

The queen of runways, Zendaya, is back; this time as Athena, and styled once again by longtime collaborator Law Roach

At the film's London premiere, she styled not one but two looks. The first: a white Schiaparelli Haute Couture piece pulled straight off Daniel Roseberry's Fall/Winter 2026-27 couture show in Paris earlier that same day, built around porcelain-effect breastplate detailing and a fringed white-to-black gradient-bead skirt. A day before the premiere, the actress made headlines for wearing a pair of 3000-year-old artefact earrings at the London photocall.

Afterwards, she changed into a Valentino look: a bralette of green leaves flowing into a grey skirt with Greek-inspired draping.

In Paris, the actor wore a Nicolas Ghesquière white-and-ivory empire-waist lace gown with an ab-baring cutout and a train, along with a ruffled bolero.

She reappeared in headlines yesterday for her New York premiere look: a sculpted white gown with feathered wings, worn with loosely curled hair. Law Roach revealed that the Matieres Fecales outfit had been held for two years, just for this press tour.

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway, newly pregnant with her third child, has built Penelope, Queen of Ithaca press tour looks that pull double duty — proudly showing off her baby bump while keeping to the film's theme.

At the London premiere, Hathaway donned a pleated periwinkle Dior gown with a flower applique.
