Actor Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in Mumbai's Juhu area when three men on a motorcycle opened fire at his car, injuring his driver. A video surfaced online featuring a man claiming to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, alleging Shroff was targeted for not following directions and working with Salman Khan.
Actor Tiger Shroff escaped unharmed after three men on a motorcycle opened fire in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday (October 18) evening, injuring his driver. Shroff was reportedly leaving a football ground when the shooting occurred.
Shortly after the incident, a video surfaced online featuring a man who identified himself as Anil Pandit and claimed to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the video, he alleged that Shroff had been targeted because he had “not been heeding directions” and was “working with Salman Khan," as reported by NDTV. Bishnoi, who is currently incarcerated in Gujarat, has issued repeated threats against Salman Khan.
Initial reports suggested that Shroff’s driver, Firdaus, had suffered an injury to his left hand. However, subsequent updates from police and medical sources indicate that he sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest, according to the latest report from NDTV. He is undergoing emergency treatment at Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital, where his condition has been described as critical.
Since news of the shooting broke out, a video has been doing the rounds on the internet, appearing to capture at least four gunshots.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, according to India Today, contacted the Mumbai Police Commissioner to seek details of the firing, further directing police to expedite the investigation.
The latest incident follows two similar shootings in Mumbai: in February 2026, five rounds were fired outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu, with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claiming responsibility. Earlier, in April 2024, two men on a motorcycle opened fire outside actor Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments home in Bandra, firing five rounds.
