Mysskin returns to direction after six years with Train, unveiling a 43‑second teaser that presents Vijay Sethupathi in a striking, unconventional avatar. The rapid, dialogue‑free cut relies on intense visuals, bright and dark contrasts, and vengeful undertones, signaling a departure from mainstream commercial fare. The film co‑stars Nasser and Shruti Haasan and is produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu’s V Creations.
After a six year break from directing, following his 2020 release Psycho, Mysskin returns with his new project Train, starring Vijay Sethupathi. The makers of the film have unveiled its highly anticipated teaser, stepping up excitement for their collaboration.
The teaser is quick, intense, vengeful and barely gives the audience time to process one moment before jumping to the next. In just 43 seconds, it has already generated buzz online, with fans noting it appears to departs from the regular look of mainstream commercial entertainers.
Starring Sethupathi, Nasser and Shruti Haasan in lead roles, the teaser is rich with bright and dark visuals that play with the audience's senses, adding to the films overall feel and sense of thrill. What is even more thrilling is that it runs entirely on background noise, with no dialogue at all.
Train is an exciting title for Tamil cinema fans, not only because it is Mysskin's first directorial after a stretch spent focusing solely on acting, but also because Train will be his very first collaboration with Sethupathi.
The film is produced by Kalaippuli S. Thanu under the banner of V Creations. It is written by Mysskin, edited by Sri Watson and features cinematography by Fowzia Fathima.
Sethupathi is also part of two upcoming major action-dramas, including Puri Jagannadh's Slumdog – 33 Temple Road and Vetrimaaran's Arasan, and another yet-untitled film directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi.
