January 12 Vidudala, the official title of Anil Ravipudi’s new film with Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram, has been announced for a Sankranti 2027 theatrical release on January 12. Revealed via a playful promo video featuring co-leads Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty, the project marks Ravipudi’s fifth collaboration with Venkatesh and is backed by Shine Screens, Suresh Productions and Zee Studios.

The makers of Anil Ravipudi's Daggubati Venkatesh-Nandamuri Kalyan Ram starrer, tentatively referred to as VenkyAnil5 and NKRAR2, took to social media on August 19 to announce the film's title and its theatrical release date.

Officially titled January 12 Vidudala, which translates to 'January 12 Release,' the Telugu-language film is confirmed for a Sankranti 2027 theatrical release, with the title referencing its January 12 opening day.

The title was announced through a short promo video featuring Venkatesh, Kalyan Ram, director Anil Ravipudi and co-leads Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty, who joked that the film's title is its release date.

January 12 Vidudala marks Ravipudi's fifth collaboration with Venkatesh. Music for the film is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, whose association with the project was announced earlier this year. The film is produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens production banner, along with Suresh Productions and Zee Studios.

Formally launched on Wednesday, June 17, with a pooja ceremony in Hyderabad, the film's launch ceremony confirmed weeks of speculation regarding the film’s female leads, announcing Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty as the female leads starring alongside Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram, respectively.

The launch event featured the principal cast and crew, including the four lead actors and the director. Prominent names from the Telugu film industry attended the ceremony, including veteran filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao, music composer GV Prakash Kumar, Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and writer Vijayendra Prasad.

Venkatesh was last seen in Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, written by Ravipudi. He is currently also working on the upcoming Telugu-language family drama Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 - AK 47, co-starring Srinidhi Shetty. Kalyan Ram’s latest productions include Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi (2025) and Devil (2023).

Keerthy Suresh's recent outings include Sathyavan Savithiri (2026), Revolver Rita (2025), Uppu Kappurambu (2025) among others. She will be seen next in Karthik Subbaraj's Dorothy, co-starring Sananth and Rishikanth. After its world premiere in the Centrepiece section at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release later this year on September 25.
