With the fourth installation of the cult-classic comedy franchise Dhamaal finally hitting screens, Prithviraj Sukumaran's powerful portrayal of Rajeevan in the action-thriller I, Nobody, and Akhil Akkineni returning after a three-year break in the action-drama, Lenin, theaters are going to be buzzing with something for everyone this week. 

Here’s what to watch in theaters this week:

Hindi

Dhamaal 4

Helmed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 is the fourth installment of the popular comedy franchise Dhamaal, first released in 2007. The original core cast—Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi — are joined by other prominent actors like Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra and Esha Gupta. This time, the four friends set out on a hunt for the "Treasure of Life," running into one wild challenge after another that spirals into a nonstop ride of comic mishaps. The film releases on July 10.

Telugu

Lenin

Starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse in lead roles, Lenin, directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, is the much-awaited action-drama that tells the story of a young man navigating a harsh village life with its own rigid rules. When love enters his life, it sets off a chain of events that escalate into a full-blown battle. The film explores the themes of power struggle, emotional bond and family conflict. It will come to screens on July 10.

Vasudheva Sutham

Directed by Vykunt Bonu, the film is built around the sacred force contained within the Puri Jagannath Temple, the sheer scale of that force, and the hero's efforts to stop the villains from trying to claim it for their own gain. It stars actors Mahendran, Ambika Vani and Sumedha Bajaj in lead roles. It will release in theaters on July 10.

Malayalam

I, Nobody

Rajeevan is an ordinary man — a government employee, husband, and father of two — living a routine life in a crowded city. That changes the day he witnesses something he shouldn't have. What starts as a single shocking moment spirals into chaos, pulling him from mere witness to the center of a serious crime. He is labelled a troublemaker by a system unwilling to listen as is soon hunted by the very institutions meant to protect him. With his choices running out, his family at risk, and no one to turn to, the only option Rajeevan has left is to face it all.

I, Nobody casts Prithviraj Sukumaran, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles. Directed by Nisam Basheer, the action-thriller will release in theaters on July 9.

Tamil

Idhayam Murali

In theaters on July 10, Aakash Baskaran’s Idhayam Murali tells the story of a young man grappling with the weight of a love that was never returned, discovering that no matter how much time slips by or how his life turns, some feelings will be difficult to escape. The film stars Atharvaa Murali, Preity Mukhundhan and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles.

Love Oh Love

Directed by Magesh Rajendran, Love Oh Love is a rom com that centers on Raghuvaran (Pavish Narayan), whose life hits rock bottom. He loses his job, faces debt and is cut off from his family, all because of his girlfriend Avantika’s (Naga Durga) extravagant spending habits. While he is ready to walk away, she won't accept the breakup. So, he throws down an ultimatum: for four months, she must step into his shoes and experience the strain he has been carrying. What follows is a test of whether Avantika can rise to the occasion, and whether the two can find their way back. The film stars Narayan, Durga and Adithya Kathir in lead roles.

The film is set to release in theaters on July 10.

The Invite

Directed by Olivia Wilde, The Invite is a comedy drama that follows Joe and Angela, whose marriage is hanging by a thread. Things take an unexpected turn when they host their upstairs neighbours for a dinner party that spirals in a way no one saw coming. The movie casts Wilde, Penelope Cruz, Seth Rogen and Edward Norton in lead roles. The film will hit the screens on July 10.  

Evil Dead Burn

Starring Luciane Buchanan, Hunter Doohan and Souheila Yacoub, Evil Dead Burn is a forthcoming American supernatural horror movie, marking the third standalone installment following Evil Dead and Evil Dead Rise, and the sixth film overall in the Evil Dead franchise. The film is directed by Sébastian Venicek and will release in theaters on July 10.

Moana

The makers of Moana are finally releasing a live action on the beloved Disney princess and her adventures within and beyond the island of Motunui. Set to release on July 10 and directed by Thomas Kail, the film brings the animation classic to life, following Moana, the daughter of the village chief, who embarks on a mission to return the heart of Te Fiti, the island goddess, with the help of Maui, the demigod who goes missing. The film casts Catherine Laga’aia as Moana, Dwayne Johnson as Maui and Rena Owen as Gramma Tala.
