Yash Raj Films has set March 26, 2027, for the theatrical release of Ali Abbas Zafar’s next big-scale action romance, led by Ahaan Panday, Sharvari Wagh, Aaishvary Thackeray and Bobby Deol. The director’s fifth collaboration with the banner promises a high-voltage clash between Panday and Thackeray, blending intense romance, large-scale action and emotional stakes for a full-blown big-screen spectacle.
Yash Raj Films has officially announced the release date for Ali Abbas Zafar's next. Starring Ahaan Panday, Sharvari, Aaishvary Thackeray and Bobby Deol in lead roles, the film will release theatrically on March 26, 2027 (Good Friday).
Produced by Aditya Chopra, the untitled project will mark Zafar's fifth collaboration with Yash Raj Films, a banner the director regards as his alma mater. He previously helmed Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai for the banner. His last few projects (Jogi, Bloody Daddy, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan) were produced outside the YRF fold.
In October last year, Panday began filming for this big-scale action romance, which has been extensively shot in the U.K. Yash Raj Films had also backed Panday's debut, Saiyaara, which was helmed by Mohit Suri and co-starred Aneet Padda.
In November 2025, the makers cast Thackeray as the antagonist opposite Panday. Thackeray has been centering attention since his performance in Anurag Kashyap's Nishaanchi, where he impressed audiences with his screen presence.
Early buzz regards the film as a mix of romance and large-scale action, with the director's reputation for blending action and emotional stakes shaping a story driven by the rivalry between Panday and Thackeray's characters.
In November 2025, a trade source said, “Ali Abbas Zafar is known for mega entertainers like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, so you can expect him to mount the Ahaan–Aaishvary clash on a huge scale. The film has romance at its core and action designed to shock and awe, and Ali is not going to hold back. It’s meant to be a full-blown big-screen ride.”
