Based on a real battle, '120 Bahadur' is set for theatrical release on November 21, 2025.
Farhan Akhtar commands a heroic last stand in the trailer for 120 Bahadur. Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the upcoming war drama is inspired by the Battle of Rezang La during Sino-Indian War, where 120 soldiers of the Indian Army faced 3,000 enemy troops, successfully defending the strategic mountain pass of Rezang La. The trailer promises a rousing tribute to timeless heroism.
The trailer opens with the voice of Amitabh Bachchan, lamenting a breach of trust between India and China. As Chinese troops firm up their offensive, it falls on the 120 bravehearts of Charlie Company to face them. Farhan Akhtar, who directed the landmark military film Lakshya backdropped on the Kargil War, here portrays the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. "We have to stop them...as one," he thunders.
The cast of 120 Bahadur also features Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhatena, Dhanveer Singh, Digvijay Pratap, Sahib Verma, Ankit Siwach, Devendra Ahirwar, Ashutosh Shukla, Brijesh Karanwal, Atul Singh, Ajinkya Deo, and Eijaz Khan.
The film’s trailer was launched by Indian superstar Yash, who shared it with the caption, “Honouring our brave, a legendary true story from our nation’s history.” The makers wrote, “Based on a true story that shaped our nation’s history, 120 Bahadur – Trailer out now. #120Bahadur #EkSauBeesBahadur. Special thanks: Mr. @amitabhbachchan Sir.”
Produced by Akhtar and by Ritesh Sidhwani (Excel Entertainment), and Amit Chandrra (Trigger Happy Studios), 120 Bahadur is set for theatrical release on November 21, 2025.
Akhtar had earlier shared his experience of being approached for 120 Bahadur. Speaking to reporters at a launch event in August, the actor-director had shared, “I had a feeling which I’ve only ever felt once before in my entire life—when Rakeysh (Omprakash Mehra) came and spoke to me about Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. That’s when I told Razy (Ghai), ‘One hundred percent, I want to be a part of this film. It’s a story that should reach the masses’—the story of not just Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, but that of all these 120 soldiers, because what they all did there is unbelievable. I’m happy and proud to be a part of this film.”
