'418': Kirtan Nadagouda's Debut Directorial, Presented by Prashanth Neel, Locks July Release

Film and distribution company Mythri Movie Makers confirmed the release date for 418, a Telugu horror film presented by Prashanth Neel, on July 19. The film is set to release in theatres worldwide on July 31. 

The announcement was made on Mythri Movie Makers' official social media channels, along with the film's first look poster. The announcement post read, "Behind this door lies the beginning of all your fears
#418TheFilm Grand Release on July 31st, 2026"

The first look poster shows the interior of a room through the keyhole of a door, with a woman seated on the floor with her back to the viewer.

418 is written and directed by Kirtan Nadagouda, who has previously worked as an assistant and co-director to Prashanth Neel. The film marks his feature directorial debut. It stars Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju and Preethi Pagadala in the lead roles. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni, Anil Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, with Prashanth Neel presenting it. Cinematography is by Dinesh Divakaran, Venky GG is the film's music composer Ullas Hydur is the production designer.

Principal photography has been completed and the film is currently in post-production. While no plot details have been officially disclosed, the film has been described by the makers as a spine-chilling, mysterious entertainer.

418 marks Mythri Movie Makers' first venture into the horror genre. The banner is best known for producing the large-scale commercial entertainer Pushpa franchise starring Allu Arjun, as well as Hanu Raghavapudi's upcoming period action drama Fauzi (2026) among other projects.

Prashanth Neel is currently directing Dragon, a Telugu action film starring Jr. NTR and produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts. Dragon is among the most anticipated Telugu productions currently in development. Neel has previously presented KGF: Chapter 1 (2018) and KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) as director, and Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire (2023). Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam, the sequel to Salaar, is currently in production.
