While the trade may still be looking at the underwhelming box office of Salman Khan's latest Eid release Sikandar, the superstar is already eying his next: an action movie co-starring Sanjay Dutt.

The actor had confirmed collaborating with Dutt for a new film in an interview before the release of Sikandar last week, but new details have emerged about the project, which has been tentatively titled Ganga Ram.

The film will be directed by Krish Ahir, who has assisted on movies like Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Radhe, Race 3, and Tiger Zinda Hai, among others.

A Bollywood Hungama report claimed that the film is being developed by the superstar himself and will be backed by his banner, Salman Khan Films.

THR India spoke to an industry source who confirmed the development and said, "They are collaborating for the project, which will be helmed by Krish. Everything is on track as of now to go on floors around June- July, but things might also change, keeping in mind Sikandar's fate. The film is happening— for now."

THR India reached out to Khan's team, but there was no response.

Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi and Prateik Babbar, Sikandar opened to poor reviews and has been a disappointment at the box office. It was Khan's third full-fledged outing post-pandemic after the comedy Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and the spy-universe actioner Tiger 3.
