On Monday, producer Archana Kalpathi posted a picture welcoming Sai Abhyankkar to a future project, which will be made by AGS Entertainment. She wrote, “Super happy to welcome the super talented @SaiAbhyankkar on board for our next production. May this be the first of many associations.” Details of the film haven't yet been confirmed.
Among the films the production house is working on is Silambarasan TR’s 51st film to be directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. Speculations suggest that the composer could be working on this film. The production house had made last year’s blockbuster Dragon, starring Pradeep Ranganathan most recently. The film is tentatively being called the “God of Love.”
Silambarasan had posted a picture with Sai Abhyankar in April last year, welcoming him to a new collaboration. Sai, the son of singers Tippu and Harini, found global fame with his independent music videos that made him an overnight celebrity. His next single is in the works, too. The musician's latest release was the 'Pavazha Malli' music video, which also featured actor Kayadu Lohar.
TR Silambarasan and director Vetri Maaran have been working on their new film titled Arasan for the last few months. After delays due to a conflict with producer Ishari Ganesh, the shoot of the film is said to resume soon. The title Arasan, which translates to ‘king’, is being produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, who had previously collaborated with Vetri Maaran and Dhanush on Asuran. Arasan will be Silambarasan’s first film with Vetri Maaan. The project’s tentative title was ‘STR 49’ and the team released a new poster, hinting at the film’s mood and themes.
The makers of the Vetrimaaran’s film had put out a poster welcoming Vijay Sethupathi to the sets of their under-production film. Arasan stars Silambarasan, and the gangster saga is part of the Vada Chennai universe and is likely based on the life of real-life Chennai-based gangster Mylai Siva. Siva’s life is said to have been associated with gang violence in the Mylapore area of Chennai.
