The 'Saiyaara' actor is gearing up for his next, an action romance slated to begin shooting in early 2026.
Ahaan Panday, the breakout sensation from Saiyaara, has debuted his look for his second film, to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The feature, an action romance, is slated to begin shooting in early 2026.
Ahaan shared his first-look stills on Instagram, swapping the shaggy locks of Saiyaara for a trim and rugged makeover. More details about the film are yet to emerge. This is Ali Abbas Zafar's fifth collaboration with YRF, a banner the diretor regards as his alma mater. He previously helmed Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai for the banner. His last few projects (Jogi, Bloody Daddy, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan) were produced outside the YRF fold.
Panday, nephew of actor Chunky Panday, became a nationwide rage with his debut performance in Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara. The film co-starring Aneet Padda is the highest-grossing Hindi romantic film of all time. It is also the second biggest Hindi blockbuster of 2025, behind Vicky Kaushal-led Chhaava.
Pandey, 27, was launched through YRF’s talent division. In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the young actor had spoken about starting his career under the aegis of the banner. “Yash Raj Films was a dream for me, it was the cinema I grew up with, the cinema my grandmother dreamed I would be a part of. She used to call me ‘Raj’ all the time. My sister’s Hindu name is Chandni, based on the film Chandni, and my Hindu name is Yash; we’re big filmy Yash Raj [Films] lovers. So, when Adi sir asked me, it was instinctive because I believed it was my destiny. It was just this childhood dream of mine; I’ve seen these heroes my whole life, emulated them, looked up to them and that was [what I wanted to be] the first chapter of my professional life.”
