Akshay Kumar's ‘Housefull 5’ Teaser Promises Comedy, Chaos and a Killer Twist
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala unveiled a teaser for the fifth film in the hit franchise, featuring a massive ensemble cast and a murder mystery set on a cruise.
Marking 15 years since the release of Housefull, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has unveiled the teaser for Housefull 5, the latest instalment in one of Bollywood’s most successful comedy franchises. The film is set to hit theatres on June 6, 2025.
The teaser offers a quick look at the ensemble cast and a new narrative twist. While previous entries in the franchise leaned heavily on slapstick and situational humour, Housefull 5 adds a murder mystery to the mix. Set aboard a luxury cruise, the film promises “a killer comedy” filled with laughs, chaos, and intrigue.
Headlining the cast are franchise regulars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, alongside Abhishek Bachchan, who returns after Housefull 3. They are joined by a sprawling lineup that includes Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani (Dostana), the film marks a departure from the franchise’s earlier directors, Sajid Khan and Farhad Samji. Nadiadwala, who has produced all previous instalments, also serves as the writer.
All four previous Housefull films have been box office hits, and expectations for the fifth remain high. The teaser positions Housefull 5 as a blend of high-stakes comedy and whodunit suspense which is an ambitious turn for a franchise known for its broad humour.
