The streaming platform unveiled an impressive new line-up featuring thrillers, comedies, reality series and crime dramas.
Amazon MX Player unveiled an ambitious slate of new shows and series for 2025 at its first edition StreamNext event in Mumbai. The ad-supported streaming platform, which is also available to Prime Video subscribers, is set to expand its Hindi content library with a mix of thrillers, comedies, reality series and dramas this year.
Among the highly anticipated returns is the concluding part of Aashram Season 3 starring Bobby Deol, Hunter 2 starring Suniel Shetty and Jackie Shroff, Jamnapaar, Half CA, Hip Hop India, Sixer, Who’s Your Gynac, Campus Beats, Playground and Gutar Gu among many others.
The platform’s new titles cover a diverse range of genres. While the supernatural thriller Bhay – The Gaurav Tiwari Story features Karan Tacker as a paranormal investigator and is based on the true story of the man who founded the Indian Paranormal Society, Mitti – Ek Nayi Pehchaan sees Ishwak Singh play a corporate executive reconnecting with his roots.
But the major themes dominating upcoming dramas in 2025 are crime and suspense. First Copy, starring Munawar Faruqui and Saqib Ayub among others, delves into Mumbai’s film piracy underworld in the 90s, whereas Petty Cash revolves around the infamous Purulia arms drop case and stars Tanya Maniktala, Sahil Mehta and Gyanendra Tripathi.

The youth-centric Lafangey – Sapne, Dosti, Duniya is set in New Delhi, and follows three friends navigating adulthood in New Delhi, while dark humour takes center stage in Bindiya, a story about a dysfunctional gangster family.
Featuring the popular Darsheel Safari and Anjali Sivaraman, Gamerlog is set in the world of e-sports, while Knock Knock Killer follows a rogue app that traps a woman, with Adhya Anand, Kush Jotwani and Arjun Deswal in lead roles. The Heartbreak Club, based on the novel of the same name, follows a woman’s desperate search for her missing sister, starring Anushka Sen and Prit Kamani.
Amazon MX Player will also introduces new-age rom-coms with Pyaar Paisa Profit, a satirical take on toxic workplaces, and Art of Ishq, in which a dating coach helps a politician revamp his public image.
With an impressive line-up of movies and shows, Amazon MX Player aims to solidify its position in India’s growing streaming landscape.
