Earlier this week, The Hollywood Reporter India got a preview of The FRIENDS™ Experience - The One in Mumbai, which offers fans a chance to step inside the world of the 1994 sitcom that dominated television for a decade.

Held at the Jio World Garden and organised by District by Zomato, the immersive experience has toured over 25 cities worldwide, including major cities like New York, Las Vegas, Brisbane, and Mexico City, and has now arrived exclusively in Mumbai. It will run from June 19 to July 12, with multiple time slots available daily from 4 PM to 9:45 PM.

The experience is based around the 90s classic and global hit series FRIENDS, starring Jennifer Anniston as Rachel Green, David Schwimmer as Ross Geller, Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, Courtney Cox as Monica Geller, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, and Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani.

The nostalgia hits immediately. After a trivia session on iconic moments and dialogues from the show, visitors enter through a large purple sliding door modeled after Monica's apartment. Inside, you are greeted by the famous fountain and the sofa as seen in the opening credits.

The experience is thoughtfully curated, giving each character their own moment, whether through written descriptions of their journey through the series or signature props like Phoebe's guitar, Chandler and Joey's recliner seats in their apartment, Joey's 'Pat the Dog,' or the stairway with a white sofa stuck in it, recreating Ross's iconic "Pivot!" scene.

By the end of the walkthrough, it truly feels less like a recreation of the set and more like you're part of the original gang of six who redefined television sitcoms as we know them today.
