In the 4-minute launch video, we see debut director Ravi Mohan discussing his upcoming film with his lead star, Yogi Babu.
On Ravi Mohan’s birthday, on September 10, the star launched a 4-minute introduction for his debut as director and called it An Ordinary Man. In the hilarious video, made to look like it’s being shot on a New York rooftop, we see a silly exchange between Mohan and the star of his film, Yogi Babu. It even begins with Yogi Babu warning him not to consider the taxing position of being a filmmaker, only to change his mind when he learns that he’s going to be the film’s hero.
We then see both of them discussing the ‘script’, which is nothing but Yogi Babu’s name written all over its pages. Yogi Babu appears in multiple looks to see what his character would be in their upcoming collab. The actor comes out dressed as various over-the-top characters and roles such as a king, an astronaut, a boxer, a cricketer, a sheikh and a singer, before giving up and settling to look just like an ‘ordinary man’.
Written and produced by Ravi Mohan, the upcoming Tamil film appears to be the funny story of an ordinary man on his first visit abroad. In late August, actor Ravi Mohan launched his production banner, Ravi Mohan Studios, which is set to roll out 10 feature films in the next two years, including Mohan's directorial debut. The announcements were made at a launch event held in Chennai on Tuesday, August 26.
It was attended by several top actors, including Sivakarthikeyan, Karthi, Shivarajkumar, Karthi, Riteish Deshmukh, SJ Suryah, Atharvaa Murali and others. The maiden offering from Ravi Mohan Studios is a feature film titled Bro Code directed by Karthik Yogi, known for comedies like Vadakkupatti Ramasamy (2024) and Dikkiloona (2021). While SJ Suryah features in a key role, actors Sri Gouri Priya, Shraddha Srinath, Arjun Ashokan, and Malavika Manoj have also joined the ensemble cast.
