In Anomie, Bhavana is seen embarking on a relentless hunt to find her missing brother. Played by Shebin Benson, the brother’s disappearance sets the film’s narrative in motion. The trailer opens with Bhavana’s character frantically searching for him, as an ominous ticking clock underscores the background score.

As the trailer progresses, several characters who appear to be antagonists make their entry, while it is also hinted that the police— including the investigating officer played by Rahman—may be complicit in the crime. Bhavana’s pursuit of her brother and the acts of revenge that follow form the core of what the trailer reveals so far. “I’ll go to any extent to find him,” she says towards the end of the trailer.

The trailer concludes with quick cuts of two stylised action sequences—one set inside a warehouse and another outdoors in slush. Both appear to have been shot using slow-motion cameras. The film’s full title reads Anomie – The Equation of Death, with the title displayed in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and English. Bhavana also serves as one of the producers of the film.

Anomie is set to release this Friday, February 6, after being pushed from its earlier release date of January 30.

The film is written and directed by Riyas Marath, who previously co-wrote Neeli and Diwanji Moola Grand Prix. The technical crew includes cinematographer Sujith Sarang, editor Kiran Das, and art director Arjun Jox. Apart from Bhavana, Shebin Benson, and Rahman, the cast also includes Binu Pappu, Arjun Lal, Drishya Raghunath, and Vishnu Agasthya.

The film is produced by Bhavana Film Productions along with Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Blitzkrieg Films, and Aadith Prassana Kumar. Music for the film has been composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar, known for his work in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Arjun Reddy and Animal.
