Bollywood is starting to lock its calendar for 2025, with filmmakers blocking release dates for their biggies—which include films of stars like Ajay Devgn, Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Taapsee Pannu—a year in advance.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, the head honcho of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, has finalised December 5, 2025 as the release date for his untitled next starring Shahid Kapoor, Tripti Dimri, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda.

The Vishal Bharadwaj directorial, billed as an action-packed commercial entertainer, will go on floors on January 6, and release on the big screens in December next year.

Apart from this film, Sajid Nadiadwala has three major releases also lined up—including Salman Khan-starrer Sikandar, Akshay Kumar-led comedy Housefull 5, and Baaghi 4 featuring Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt.

Meanwhile, T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar have locked the release date for the sequel of De De Pyaar De, which will hit screens on November 14, 2025. Starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R. Madhavan, this rom-com is currently being shot across Punjab, Mumbai, and London. It is directed by Anshul Sharma, co-produced by Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg.

In the streaming space, longtime collaborators actor Taapsee Pannu and screenwriter producer Kanika Dhillon began their latest Netflix film Gandhari. Billed as an action drama, this will be Taapsee and Kanika's sixth collaboration after the Haseen Dillruba franchise, Manmarziyaan (2018), and Dunki (2023) among others.

Taapsee shared pictures from the first day of the shoot on her social media and wrote, “Dear God, grant my request so that I may never deviate from doing good deeds.
That, I shall have no fear of the enemy when I go into battle and with determination I will be victorious That, I may teach my mind to only sing your praises.And when the time comes, I should die fighting heroically on the field of battle ||231|| Let the war begin! Gandhari.”

Gandhari is the second project under Kanika Dhillon 's banner Kathha Pictures after the Netflix mystery drama Do Patti (2024). The film is directed by Devashish Makhija known for movies like Bhonsle (2018) and Joram (2023).
