According to a report in The Hindu, actor Ravi Mohan’s production Bro Code can come under legal trouble for its title. A New Delhi-based alcohol company named Indo Bevs Private Limited is said to have called upon Ravi Mohan Studios Private Limited for its use of their trademark ‘Bro Code.’ But the report added that the Madras High Court had granted an injunction order restraining the New Delhi-based company from “interfering with production, publicity, marketing, distribution, or release of the movie” by issuing any threats to distributors, exhibitors, OTT/satellite TV partners, and licensees.

According to Live Law,  Ravi Mohan had "approached the court seeking to declare that the usage of the title “BROCODE” for his production company's upcoming movie did not infringe the trademark of the defendant company." He had also reportedly sought for a permanent injunction to restrain the company from issuing or making groundless threats of infringement, or otherwise interfering with the movie's production, publicity, marketing, etc.

Ravi Mohan had recently turned producer with Ravi Mohan Studios and announced Bro Code as their first production. The Tamil film will co-star Mohan and SJ Suryah as the leads. The film will be directed by Karthik Yogi, known for helming titles such as Dikkiloona (2021) and Vadakkupatti Ramasamy (2024). In an interview with the Chennai Times, the director noted that the film would be a pan-Indian action comedy. “SJ Suryah’s character will be positive, likeable, and equally important to Ravi anna. They were both my first choices for the film. Their combination felt exciting even while I was writing. When I narrated the story to Ravi anna, I did so by mimicking SJ Suryah so that he would get the feel of how it would be when SJ Suryah comes on board. I knew he would be the right fit for the role. He was a bit busy, but he managed to give us dates in between all his other commitments," the filmmaker told the publication.

On Ravi Mohan’s birthday, on September 10, the star launched a 4-minute introduction for his debut film as director, titled An Ordinary Man. In the hilarious video, made to look like it’s being shot on a New York rooftop, we see a silly exchange between Mohan and the star of his film, Yogi Babu. It even begins with Yogi Babu warning him not to consider the taxing position of being a filmmaker, only to change his mind when he learns that he’s going to be the film’s hero.  We then see both of them discussing the ‘script’, which is nothing but Yogi Babu’s name written all over its pages. Yogi Babu appears in multiple looks to see what his character would be in their upcoming collab. The actor comes out dressed as various over-the-top characters and roles such as a king, an astronaut, a boxer, a cricketer, a sheikh and a singer, before giving up and settling to look just like an ‘ordinary man’.
