The makers of WWE-based Malayalam action-comedy Chatha Pacha released a poster on Arjun Ashokan’s birthday, revealing his name in the film. His wrestler alter ego in the film is ‘Loco Lobo’, although it appears that his real name might be Savio. His look in the film is also out along with the poster. The film recently marked the 50th day of shooting.

According to a report by The Variety, the Malayalam film has secured a worldwide release, which will ensure a global showcase in around 100 countries. The film, directed by first-time filmmaker Adhvaith Nair, is set against a backdrop of World Wrestling Entertainment and the fandom surrounding it. This report says that this action drama, with the title Chatha Pacha: The Ring Of Rowdies, will reach a worldwide audience after the makers (Reel World Entertainment) signed a partnership distribution deal with The Plot Pictures.

The film is currently in production and it stars Roshan Mathew, Arjun Ashokan, Vishak Nair and Ishan Shoukath. The music will be scored by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy in their first Malayalam language film. The film is said to be set against the backdrop of WWE-format wrestling that is aimed to appeal to viewers from across the globe.

Earlier, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy had posted on Instagram about this collaboration. They wrote, “Big news! We’re excited to announce that for the first time ever, we’re diving into the world of Malayalam cinema. This one’s got it all – Kochi’s soul, WWE wrestling madness, chenda beats, and a soundtrack that’s literally gonna pack a punch! Very excited to be working with producers Ramesh, Ritesh, and Shihan at Reel World Entertainment. This project is something we’ve never done before, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Title and cast announcement coming VERY soon – and trust me, you don’t wanna miss this!” (SIC)
