Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for "cultural influence and public service" by London-based thinktank Bridge India at the UK’s House of Commons. The 69-year-old icon was honoured Thursday night at the ceremony hosted by British-Indian Member of Parliament Navendu Mishra.
"Last night, Bridge India gave its first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award to megastar @KChiruTweets, for a lifetime of cultural influence and public service, at the @HouseofCommons hosted by @NavPMishra. Attendees included MPs, Lords, Diplomats and leaders from the Indian community," the official page of Bridge India posted on X, along with a video from the event.

The multiple National Award-winning actor—who also received Padma Vibhushan last year—also share the images from the ceremony on his Instagram and thanked the thinktank for the honour.

Known for starring in movies like Indra (2002), Rudra Veena (1988), Swayam Krushi (1987) and Shankar Dada MBBS (2004) among others, Chiranjeevi has been acting for nearly 50 years. He was last seen on the big screen in Waltair Veerayya and Bhola Shankar, both 2023 theatrical outings. He is currently gearing up for the release of his Telugu fantasy actioner Vishwambhara. The film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Ashika Ranganath.
