'DC' Trailer: Lokesh Kanagaraj And Wamiqa Gabbi Are On The Run In Arun Matheswaran's Romance Thriller

On July 30, Sun Pictures unveiled a deeper look into the romance, crime and thrill of Arun Matheswaran's DC.

The Tamil romantic action thriller is headlined by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who steps into new territory with his highly anticipated acting debut, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi. Produced by Sun Pictures, DC will also be distributed across Hindi-speaking markets (HSM) in North India by Dharma Productions.

The trailer opens on a serene, expansive view of what appears to be a shallow sea, with a woman walking across it. It quickly shifts gears into a turn filled with violence, crime, and revenge, unfolding into the story of Devdas (Lokesh) and his attempts to outrun his past.

Devdas finds himself hunted by the police while navigating a dangerous criminal underworld. Chandra, played by Gabbi, becomes entangled in his path, and the two embark on a violent journey driven by vengeance, passion and survival

The trailer closes on that same shot of the sea and the woman, but this time, with a man also in the frame walking behind her.

DC will also feature an impressive 15 tracks composed by Anirudh Ravichander, shifting between evocative melodies and electrifying beats to match the film's many moods.

Actor Sanjana Krishnamoorthy will also be seen in a prominent role as Parvathi, with additional screenplay by Arun Ranjan and dialogues by Arun Matheswaran and Franklin Jacob. The film’s cinematography is helmed by Mukesh G, while editing is handled by G. K. Prasanna.

DC is slated for a theatrical release on August 7.
