Dhanush And Vetrimaaran To Collaborate On New Film
This will be Dhanush and Vetrimaaran's fifth collaboration after films like 'Polladhavan', 'Aadukalam', 'Vada Chennai' and 'Asuran'.
Actor Dhanush and filmmaker Vetrimaaran are set to join hands again for a new film. Production house RS Infotainment on Monday announced that the winning director-actor combination will be back for their fifth collaboration.
The production house took to X and announced the latest project, which remains untitled as of yet. RS Infotainment also bankrolled the filmmaker's latest movie, Viduthalai Part 2.
"After the success of director Vetri Maaran's directional venture No. 7 Viduthalai Part 2, RS Infotainment is happy to once again associate with him for his upcoming directional venture No. 9, featuring the star actor Dhanush. The iconic duo behind a series of blockbusters is reuniting, promising another unforgettable cinematic experience. Further details will be revealed soon," the production house said in a statement.
Dhanush has collaborated with Vetrimaaran since the filmmaker's debut in 2007 with Polladhavan, followed by acclaimed projects like Aadukalam (2011), Vada Chennai (2018) and Asuran (2019).
RS Infotainment made the announcement as a celebration for the 25th day Viduthalai Part 2, starring Vijay Sethupathi, Manju Warrier, Anurag Kashyap, Soori and Gautham Vasudev Menon among others. The film is a direct sequel to Viduthalai Part 1 (2023).

After Viduthalai Part 2, Vetrimaaran will reportedly begin filming his next film with Suriya titled Vaadivaasal.
